Customer Reviews for Shepherd Valley Waldorf School
Tamara A. on 11/20/2013 12:43:48 PM
I have a child at Shepherd Valley Waldorf School, and I couldn't possibly be more thrilled. Everyone is just so caring. The teacher is so committed to getting to know each child and to communicating with the parents.
One reason we're here is that Waldorf schools really teach the students *how* to think. As an example, they help the youngest children develop the imagination, which later supports reading comprehension, creative problem solving, and higher math skills. They involve all the senses, for the fullest understanding of concepts, rather than just memorizing the right answer. At every age, the curriculum is brilliant at optimizing the potential of that stage of development. I feel my child is really getting the support he needs to have a happy, successful life.

We have a curriculum unique to Waldorf schools, which truly addresses the
student as a whole person. Our curriculum is age-appropriate, allowing students'

comprehension, creative problem-solving, and higher math skills down the road. We
have a well-rounded curriculum, integrating academic learning with an arts-rich
program with the focus on rich language and higher order skills. Our graduates excel at being able to think independently and creatively.
