How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since 1999.
What is your primary product or service?
Tropical foliage plants and planters.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Back in the early 90's I answered an add in a local paper for foliage plant technicians (in Omaha,NE). I had been working at a textile plant,pizza places and a weight equiptment store, and wanted to find something more like me. The company (Rex Olsen Plantscapes) was very successful and well managed, and hired me after a couple of interviews. I was 18 and began taking care of plants. After about 6 months my boss wanted to see if I could do sales as well as tech work. He sent me to school for Botany at Metropolitan College Fort Omaha campus. The campus had a great horticulture program and I stayed enrolled for 2 years. My understanding of the business grew, and after 3 years I moved to Boulder. I started working with a company out here for a couple of years and then decided to start my own business.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Well, First we guarantee and replace all of our plants. We have extremely realistic pricing and will not "triple mark up" the plants, and we are very consistant with the plant service... almost down to the exact same time every week. Lastly, we have lasting and creative designs that can be movable with changing businesses.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location in Boulder. We do have plans to expand our space, but for now we will not be adding locations... only clients.
What type of payments do you accept?
Most of our clients pay monthly by a company check or direct deposit. We do accept paypal as well.
Which areas do you service?
Currently we are servicing most of the front range from Boulder,Longmont, Louisville,Lafayette, Broomfield, Westminster, Northglenn,and all over Denver.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The owner and main overseer is Ryan Spinharney.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday thru Friday 8-5
